As we look back on 2025, one thing is clear—it has been a year filled with meaningful moments, strong connections, and exciting milestones for Abbey & Olivier Real Estate.

Celebrating a Legacy

The highlight of the year was undoubtedly celebrating George Olivier’s remarkable 50-year retirement from real estate—a truly inspiring milestone. We honoured George with a summer backyard celebration at our office, catered by Abbey Catering, live music, and many heartfelt tributes. It was a memorable evening celebrating not only a career, but a legacy that continues to shape who we are today.

Strengthening Connections Across Canada

In May, our team traveled to Saskatoon for our annual gathering of Aventure, our cross-country referral network. These relationships are invaluable, allowing us to better support clients whose moves take them beyond Quebec while staying connected to trusted professionals nationwide.

A Strong Year for Montreal Real Estate

Closer to home, Montreal’s real estate market remained resilient and active throughout 2025. Interest rate cuts and steady buyer demand helped maintain strong momentum, providing opportunities for both buyers and sellers in a changing market.

A Fresh New Look for A&O

This summer, our office underwent extensive exterior renovations to create a space that ruly reflects our brand and vision. Inspired by our logo, we designed an open and inviting new front entrance brought to life by Image Urbain, who also transformed our gardens with lush hydrangeas and elegant tall grass. To complete the ambiance, Concept72 added stunning night lighting throughout the gardens and patio. Working with designer Krissy Baldo of Beacon Home Design, we refreshed the exterior façade with a modern color palette and a striking garage door that matches our flower pots. Valerie from The Hub helped us to pinpoint the perfect paint shades. Thanks to Paintologists, the painting was executed flawlessly and on schedule—just in time to celebrate George’s party!

Giving Back Through Community

Community involvement remained a cornerstone of our year. In August, our team proudly participated in NOVA’s annual golf tournament at Beaconsfield Golf Club. A&O hosted the 15th hole with an exciting “Own the Hole” challenge, giving golfers a chance to win a brand-new electric Lexus. Together, the event raised over $140,000 to support NOVA’s essential services, including in-home medical care and bereavement counselling for families in need.

This November, we also launched our annual three-month campaign in support of The Old Brewery Mission. We are collecting clothing and monetary donations to assist Montreal’s less fortunate. Drop-offs and pick-ups are welcome, and tax receipts will be mailed to donors.

Staying Connected

This summer, we introduced our A&O newsletter, and the response has been incredibly positive. If you haven’t yet joined our mailing list and would like to receive updates, insights, and community news, we’d love to have you.

A Personal Note from Shep Abbey

I’m thrilled to announce that Caprice is now a full partner in Abbey & Olivier and has been named Vice President. Her leadership and dedication continue to elevate our work year after year, and I couldn’t be more delighted.

Looking Ahead

As we approach 30 years of Abbey & Olivier Real Estate in 2026, we’re deeply grateful for the trust and support that have made this milestone possible.

From all of us at A&O, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year. We look forward to continuing the journey together in 2026 and beyond.
