OLD BREWERY MISSION: ABBEY & OLIVIER SUPPORT MONTREAL’S HOMELESS

As the holiday season approaches, we at Abbey & Olivier, a trusted real estate agency in Montreal with a strong presence in the West Island, are proud to give back to the community. For over 15 years, every winter we have collected clothes and monetary donations to support the Old Brewery Mission initiative, a vital program that provides shelter, meals, and essential support to people experiencing homelessness in the city. Through this involvement, we help ensure that Montreal’s most vulnerable citizens have access to critical resources during the cold winter months.

Founded over 125 years ago, the Old Brewery Mission is one of Montreal’s leading organizations dedicated to supporting individuals in need. The Mission offers not only shelter and meals, but also employment programs, addiction support, and social reintegration initiatives. Every year, thousands of people benefit from these essential services, which aim to help individuals regain stability, independence, and dignity.

Our participation reflects the same values we bring to our work as West Island real estate agents, supporting families and individuals looking for homesfor sale in Beaconsfield and surrounding areas. Our commitment to community extends well beyond the world of luxury real estate in Montreal and into the everyday lives of those who need help the most.

Abbey and Olivier’s winter campaign Drive

Abbey and Olivier launch’s their annual winter fundraiser campaign early November and runs through to the end of January to collect warm clothes and monetary donations.

The first truck pick up is always scheduled before Christmas with the balance to be picked up end of January or dropped off at the Mission. This gives everyone ample time to participate.

We advertise through multiple platforms and have become well known in the community to help Montreal’s less fortunate. By raising awareness year after year we have been able to help The Old Brewery Mission with truck loads of clothes and raise over $100,000 throughout the last 15 years.

We encourage our clients, friends, and community members to contribute. Items such as winter coats, boots, gloves, and hats are especially appreciated. Monetary donations also play a vital role in funding meals, emergency services, and long-term support programs.

How You Can Help

Getting involved is simple. You can:

  • Drop off gently used winter clothing at Abbey & Olivier’s office.
  • Make a monetary donation to support the Mission’s programs.
  • Share information about the campaign with friends, family, and colleagues.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide shelter, meals, and essential services for those who need it most. At the same time, your participation strengthens the broader community by fostering solidarity and compassion.

Commitment to Social Responsibility

This continued involvement with the Old Brewery Mission demonstrates the importance of being dedicated to social responsibility. As both a real estate agency and trusted Beaconsfield real estate professionals, we understand the importance of fostering stronger, more caring communities. We believe our actions show that businesses can make a meaningful and positive difference.

The Old Brewery Mission relies on the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses alike. By contributing our time, resources, and attention, we help create lasting change for Montreal’s less fortunate. Our involvement makes the holiday season brighter and more hopeful, ensuring that every person feels supported, safe, and valued.

Thank you for your continued contributions, together we can make a difference!
